One Hundred Good Women Presents Women Speak Women Speak is a diverse series of events intended to create dialogue about issues important to women, impart information helpful to women, and foster connections across generations and various groups of women. Its pathway may be ever-changing, but its expression is always for women by women. ....Women Speak.

Join One Hundred Good Women and Women Speak for a NEW Women Speak Event Resource Sharing Open House Sunday, September 28, 2008 3-5 pm Steve's Place This event marks the beginning of a collaborative effort to bring awareness and provide collaboration for empowering women to address our local and global initiatives for the social and emotional well being of our community. According to Dr. Christiane Northrup, studies have shown that the more we feel a part of our community, the healthier we find our own physical immunity! Individuals and organizations are invited to display projects promoting a sense of community involving the social, emotional and environmental support of children, women and families. Please join us for a day of sharing. Booths will be set up to display projects, share information woman to woman, and provide opportunities for dialogue. There is no cost for a table. Children are more than welcome. The event also includes a potluck sharing of snacks and finger foods plus fun and socializing for women and families. EVERYONE is welcome - members, non-members, family members, friends, and children of all ages!!! Bring your favorite potluck snack, your friends and family, and come learn and share! What this is NOT: We're not having a craft fair and no craft items will be included, no items will be for sale. We are sharing ideas and resources. To reserve a resource project display, or to volunteer at the event, contact Vic Cagan. Back again in 2008! The LUNAFEST Film Festival at Liberty Hall. A national film festival to showcase short films by, for, and about women. Sponsored by One Hundred Good Women and Women Speak, LUNAFEST encourages women to come together to share experiences through film. We are pleased to offer this opportunity to explore the various film topics LUNAFEST offers. These diverse films embody the unique, humorous, touching, and inspirational roles of women in our local, national and international communities through topics such as culture, diversity, adventure, sports, environment, spirituality, inspiration, challenges, sexuality, relationships, breaking barriers and MORE! Date for the 2008 Liberty Hall show is March 9, 2008. Show times: 2 pm & 7 pm Tickets: $8 students & $10 adults The Film Festival is shown in more than 100 venues nationwide. LUNAFEST has raised over $140,000 for Breast Cancer Fund plus an additional $250,000 for local communities. Their threefold mission: "To celebrate the richness and depth of women's stories through the art of film. To inspire women in their communities by providing a forum for women to communicate, share ideas and make connections. To support women's health with a creative fundraising vehicle for the Breast Caner Fund and local nonprofit organizations". Visit LUNAFEST for more information.
